iGevalt is an augmented reality (AR) dreidel simulator for Hanukkah. Hold the device over a flat textured surface and you can spin the dreidel with a swipe of your finger. When it lands, a popup will appear that shows you what you got. There are real sounds of kids playing right along with you!

Theres also a version for devices that dont support the augmented reality features in iOS.

A dreidel is a four-sided spinning top, played with during the Jewish holiday of Hanukkah (also spelled Chanukkah, Chanukah, and Hanukah). Each side of the dreidel has a letter of the Hebrew alphabet:
נ (Nun)
ג (Gimel)
ה (Hei)
ש (Shin)

Together, these form the acronym for "נס גדול היה שם" (Nes Gadol Haya Sham). This translates to "a great miracle happened there".

These letters also form a mnemonic for the rules of the game played with a dreidel: Nun stands for the Yiddish word nite ("nothing"), Hei stands for halb ("half"), Gimel for gants ("all"), and Shin for shteln ("put").

Dreidel in Yiddish is written as
דרײדל
or using Roman characters: dreydl

Happy Chanukah!
